This pack configuration was made for US Military, including Special Forces, from 1990 through 2008, as part of the Individual Integrated Fighting System (IIFS). A fascinating piece of US MILITARY equipment development / evolution, these packs were designed to replace ALICE equipment and were later superseded by the MOLLE / PALS system in the early 2000s.  Consequently, this unique variant has characteristics found in both ALICE and MOLLE.
BEWARE of imitations.  There are knock-offs on the market, cheap imitations, made in CHINA.  Our packs are the REAL DEAL - US Gov't issue, NEW in Bag.
