MADCHEN IN UNIFORM 1958 63"x94" Romy Schneider lesbian

Description

Huge, original French 2 Panel poster for the 1958 lesbian-themed drama 'Madchen in Uniform' / 'Jeunes Filles en Uniforme', directed by Geza Radvanyi. This German film was a remake and starred a young Romy Schneider as a schoolgirl in love with one of her teachers (Lilli Palmer). Though this film was typically considered inferior to the earlier version and had languished for years without a proper dvd release, a recent restoration and release on dvd has been a major revelation: this film is a very powerful, moving and surprisingly frank piece of work, and features exceptional performances by the leads.
Size is approximately 63x94 inches, and like all French "2 Panel" posters, this was printed in two separate sections measuring 47x63 inches each.  Condition is fine: folded as issued with some creasing and mild darkening, wear and small tears along foldlines and borders (typical of French posters of this period). The title is also written on the back in marker but overall the poster looks great.
