..the very first Limited Edition Pottery offering - the Pitcher and Basin handcrafted in 1994
by Friendship Pottery
in Roseville, OH
for the
Workshops of Gerald Henn. The set was available only during July & August 1994.
The rose sponged pitcher measures approximately 7" tall and the basin has an 11" diameter.
The design for this authentic reproduction set was inspired by the fashionable and functional pitchers and basins of yesteryear.
A rare and favorite find among antique collectors, original pitcher and basins were mainstays in 18th and 19th century homes.
The pitcher was filled with water and poured into the basin as a means of sponge bathing in the days before running water.
This set was displayed only in a pet-free and smoke-free home.
